Year of establishment: 1993

Vision:

Our vision is to conduct innovative research, teaching, and outreach on the patterns and processes of life with a focus on plants and meet the global needs by educating students to excel in botany with the human touch.  

Mission  

  • To offer wide and relevant education to the students with a view of shaping their scientific temperament and environmental awareness and to uplift the students capable of facing challenges in life efficiently and carve their own future. 
  • To conserve the threatened and endangered plants species by establishing a Botanical garden in a college campus and it’s  access to all the nearby institutions and public for understanding the natural world and building awareness among the people for biodiversity conservation through education and display 
  • To introduce students to modern ideas and thoughts for sustaining in the global world 
  • To nurture ground for creative excellence in medicinal plants, plant propagation, and landscaping.  To impart quality education in the fields of Botany to make the students acquire an in-depth knowledge relevant to local, regional and national needs 
  • To provide a professional atmosphere that is unique in the sense that is fast-paced and exciting with the faculty deemed to facilitate a motivating, comfortable and positive academic impression. 
  • To produce proficient, professionally competent and socially responsible individuals with a deep sense of moral values and personal qualities and to help them achieve their academic goals in a creative and positive way.
