   WELCOME TO THE DEPARTMENT OF ECONOMICS

The Government College for Men, Kurnool was established in the year 1971. The Department of Economics was one among the debuted departments. The built-up area of the department is 20 X 30 = 600 sqft and sharing the staff room with other sister Arts departments i.e., History and Political Science. The department is served with eminent Economics lecturers. Its alumni students include MLAs, Vice-Chancellors, Professors, Lecturers, Teachers, Police personnel, Post office officials, Revenue department and so on.

“To provide an opportunity and inspiration to the socially, economically challenged rural students with a high Standards of teaching and guide them in triggering their academic targets”.

• Enable rural students to become net-savvy to help them share opportunities with their metropolitan counterparts.
• Keep students informed about the changing trend in academia.
• Encourage students to participate in co-curricular and extracurricular activities to have a close interaction with society.
• Update information regarding student employment opportunities and higher studies.

          To apply the code of ethics in every academic activity and make the wards follow them. This will improve morality, responsibility, decency, and cordial human relations and enable better coordination within the individual, community, society, country and ultimately leads to ‘Vasudhaika kutumbam’ (Universe as our own family).
